International Cooperation
The German-Ukrainian Historical Commission sees itself as a bridge between German and Ukrainian historical
scholarship. To this end, it works closely with universities, research institutes, memorial sites and scholarly
associations in Germany, Ukraine and other countries.
Together with its partners, the Commission organises annual conferences, workshops for early-career
researchers, summer academies and the webinar series “Historians and the War”. It awards fellowships for
research stays and archival research and promotes regular exchange of information, joint projects and events.
