Cultural Heritage at Risk: Protection and Reconstruction in Wartime Ukraine

The webinar addresses the destruction, protection, and reconstruction of Ukraine’s cultural heritage during Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. International protection mechanisms, museums, UNESCO initiatives, cultural looting, and strategies for preserving tangible and intangible cultural heritage in times of war are discussed. Particular attention is paid to the question of how cultural heritage contributes to societal resilience and to the future of Ukraine.
